About 

I have been conducting research on older people in low- and middle-income countries for more than 30 years. With over 70% of the global older population living in these regions—many in poverty and facing poor health and social deprivation—my work is dedicated to understanding and addressing these challenges. Over time, my research has increasingly focused on interventions that have the potential to improve the lives of older people by enhancing their health, social support, and overall well-being.
